27 May-4 June 2006. The worlds most celebrated bass viol player and a major international figure in early music, Jordi Savall, presents a series of concerts at Pariss Cit de la Musique. The first concert in the museum amphitheatre on 27 May is a family affair, featuring Arianna and Ferran Savall, vocals, harp and theorbo, conducted by their father Jordi. Other concerts include Batailles and lamentos with the baroque and classical orchestra Le Concert des Nations on 28 May, Marais et Forqueray featuring Savall on bass viol, Pierre Hanta on harpsichord and Rolf Lislevand playing theorbo and guitarra on 31 May and East-West. The dialogue of musics with early music ensemble Hesprion XXI on 3 June. Savall performs with his wife, soprano Monserrat Figueras, and the Capella Reial de Catalunya, an early music vocal ensemble formed by the Catalan musician, in the concert hall on 30 May.
