29 June-14 August 2005. The Comedytrain is an annual festival organized by the Toomler Comedy Cafe, which features the best in English-speaking stand-up comedians from the UK, the USA, Canada, Ireland and Australia. Each evening two different comedians take the stage from 20 to 23 July Arj Barker from the US will be performing his set, followed by Neil Delamere from Ireland.
Then from 27 to 30 July, Arj will be paired up with Adam Bloom from the UK. You can catch Owen ONeill from Ireland and Dave Fulton from the US on the 15 and 16 July.
Each comedian has his own trademark style: Neil Delaware is a great storyteller with a good-humoured boy-next-door approach, whereas Arj Barkers style combines dry wit with dynamic delivery. Adam Blooms creative sense of the absurd is always followed up by a strong punch-line. In August, Markus Birdman of the UK will be featuring along with Kitty Flanagan from Australia and Ron Vaudrey from Canada.
This year marks the 12th edition of the Comedytrain Festival. Admission: 12.50. Wed to Fri 20.30, Sat 20.30, 23.30.
