3 June-10 Sept 2005. In the magical setting of Headington Hill Park, Creation Theatre Company presents two of Shakespeares most popular comedies, As You Like It (until 9 August) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (until 10 Sept).
Director Charlotte Conquest has re-worked her successful 2001 production of As You Like It, and Shakespeare's Forest of Arden is recreated in the parks beautiful arboretum. The accent is on comedy and there are lots of laughs in this music-filled version of Shakespeares classic.
For A Midsummer Nights Dream, director Zoe Seaton and visual consultant Paul McEneaney have added a spectacular dimension to the already enchanting surroundings of Headington Hill Park. Using special effects and illusions, this production of The Dream brings the leafy bowers magically to life. Tickets: 6.50 - 19.50
Creation Theatre Companys summer season also includes Poetry in the Park with readings of sonnets, soliloquies, prose and poetry on Friday 22 July at 15.00. Tickets cost 4/6.
