The recently opened Herrmann beach is proving highly popular among Viennese and tourists alike. Located on the banks of the Danube Canal and beside the imposing Urania building, Viennas first central beach club hosts a planetarium and observatory, cinema and restaurant. Several tons of sand, a circular bar, cocktails, deckchairs and music from various DJs all play a part in getting Vienna in to the right summer mood. The beach opens everyday from 10.00 to 02.00, whatever the weather.
