Roller bike parades in Brussels

The third parade of the season for roller skaters takes place in Brussels on 20 June and from then on every subsequent Friday until 26 September.

The participants gather at Palace Poelaert at 21.00 and pass through the city centre, finishing where they started several hours later.

The event may slow traffic in the city centre but the police are able to change the route if necessary. Bicyclists are also included but only after the roller skaters.

Similar events take place in other cities in Belgium, such as Antwerp and Ostende and Leuven.
