The historic swimming pool and ice-skating rink complex in Paris 19me has reopened after an extensive refurbishment which has seen the restoration of the 33m pool and its 196 Art Deco changing rooms as well as the overhaul of the 800 sqm rink. The new Espace Sportif Pailleron now also houses a sauna and a fitness centre and, as of Jan 2007, it will have a solarium and a childrens water play area. Located two-minutes away from Buttes-Chaumont, the Pailleron municipal sports centre can be reached by Mtro to Bolivar or Jean Jaurs and it offers reduced prices for under-26s, seniors and the unemployed after 20.00.
