U.S.A. - France: Pompeo meets Macron in Paris
The U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. The State Department reports this in a note.
The two discussed threats to global security, efforts to counter violent extremism, the destabilizing behavior of Iran and the influence of Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The U.S. Secretary stressed the importance of the transatlantic alliance and NATO unity and highlighted "the strong cooperation" of the two countries in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as the efforts to counter the Chinese Communist Party.
