Oxford to celebrate Olympic flame

Oxford is to celebrate the arrival of the Olympic flame in the city on 9-10 July.

It will pass through Blackbird Leys, Cowley Road and St Clement’s areas in the east, south and centre of the city.

There is a tickets-only celebration in South Park off Headington Road on 9 July, starting at 18.46, with music, dance and sport. All 20,000 tickets are already sold.

The torch will be on its 52nd and 53th day of its journey, which will end in London on 27 July.
