London Olympics tickets on general sale

Some 500,000 tickets for the London Olympics were released for general sale at 11.00 on 23 May.

There are a few £20 tickets left for sports such as volleyball, table tennis, weightlifting, boxing and fencing. But most are in the £40-£450 categories.

Very few tickets are left for mountain biking, artistic gymnastics and rowing, with none in athletics, cycling, equestrian sports, swimming and the opening and closing ceremonies.

The sale on 23 May is a live sale and buyers are allowed four tickets per session and four sessions in one transaction.
