Recently voted the comedian's favourite comedian Peter Cook, who died in 1995, has been honoured with a Heritage Foundation plaque at the site of the Soho comedy club he opened in the early 1960s.

The Establishment Club was hugely influential and was where Cook worked with Dudley Moore and on Beyond the Fringe, changing the face of British comedy. Satirical magazine Private Eye was even run from the club for a while.

In conjunction with Westminster City Council the Foundation Heritage plaque was unveiled at 18 Greek Street
