'Bid for the Louvre' is the current auction organized by Christie's, London's auction house, which, together with the world- famous French museum the Louvre,  and the Hôtel Drouot, have created the most special autumn catalog ever.

Diamonds and rare heirlooms are not on auction this time, but twenty-four experiences that usually cannot be bought.

The inspection, which will offer the visitor and an accompanying person the opportunity to examine the painting more closely than ever before, will be overseen by the President and Director of the Louvre, Jean-Luc Martinez.

It is a first for the Louvre, and demonstrates its original approach in a period of gloom and crisis.  The covid-19 pandemic will cause losses for at least 90 million euros for the museum, according to the Director Martinez.
