In the 10th arrondissement, the important neighbourhood landmarks are the Gare du Nord and the Gare de lEst, two of the most important stations in Paris.
It is architecturally interesting, especially the Gare du Nord with its famous glass and iron dome, but there isnt much night life. It is best to avoid the stations at night time, but there are many small inexpensive grocery stores, metro stops and easy parking.
Buildings range from a typicial 1700s style to the large and uninspiring.
Also in the 10th arrondissement is the Canal S. Martin, a small water channel that crosses the neighbourhood and gives it the "village" touch.
