Champs Elysees

The neighbourhood in the 8th arrondissement is best known for the Avenue des Champs Elysees. Here you can find almost anything, from restaurants to fast foods, from shops of all types and prices, to discos and clubs which make it a street that never sleeps. It ends at the Place de Charles de Gaulles round-about, best known as LEtoile, at the centre of which is the Arc de Trionf. There are cheerful bars and stylish stores, not to mention restaurants with international cuisine. The architecture is typical of Paris, with large stone buildings, which tend towards pink at dusk, and slate roofs. Imposing and spacious, the Champs is the place to see and be seen.
