Until 4 June 2006. Musicians from all over the world play traditional music and instruments at Amsterdams Concertgebouw. The velvety voice of Tt Alhinho from Cape Verde is in concert on 10 March accompanied by a five-piece ensemble comprising guitar, piano, double-bass and percussion in the Recital Hall. Other highlights in March include a flamenco concert in the Main Hall, featuring flamenco dancer Rafael del Pino with the voice of Blas Crdoba on 14 March, and Nama - D'Ame D'Amour, a female vocal group from Madagascar, on 26 March. Among the April concerts is an evening of gypsy music in the Main Hall featuring Dan Gharibian playing guitar and bouzouki, Nano Peylet on clarinet and Bruno Girard on the fiddle. May sees the Amsterdam string quartet playing Mozart, Fado from Portugal featuring the voice of Maria de Ftima and a concert with Hariprasad Chaurasia playing the bansuri or Indian flute. The final concert on 4 June features tango music by the Canyengue sextet. Admission Recital Hall 27.50-18, Main Hall 39.50. Discounts available for 12-27 year-olds. Concerts at 20.15 except final concert, which is at 11.00 in the Main Hall.
