Until 9 September 2005. The Tren de la Naturaleza offers parents and kids another way to get to know the Guadarrama mountains over the summer months. To escape the heat of the city, nothing could be better than to take the kids to the Valle de la Fuenfra in the Tren de la Naturaleza. Running from Cercedilla to Cotos, this nature train aims to awaken kids interest and respect for nature in general and for the particular beauty of the Guadarrama mountains. Beyond enjoying the views of wooded landscapes, full of pine and oak trees, kids can also follow a number of activities during the journey, including films of other classic train journeys, and expert descriptions of various species of fauna, flora and rock formations. Rounding off the excursion is a guided tour on foot of the Parque Natural de Pealara, which this year celebrates its 75th anniversary as a protected reserve.

Admission: Adults 7.50, children 5.20
