The former exercise yard of Oxford prison, dominated by the Norman tower of Oxford Castle, provides the setting for Creation Theatre Companys production of Shakespeares moral comedy of justice, retribution and true love directed by Gari Jones. The recently transformed Oxford Castle, a working prison up till 1996, also hosts Sunday concerts at 14.30 throughout the summer. Admission to Merchant of Venice Mon-Fri 26.50-12.50, Sat evening 28-14, matinees 23-9. Performances Mon-Sat 19.30, 15 July 20.00. Matinees Sat 14.30. No performance 31 July.
