5 Sept-24 Oct 2006. The Royal Danish Theatre presents David Fishelsons adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevskys classic novel The Brothers Karamazov, performed on stage in Scandinavia for the first time. The dramatic tale of three brothers, Dmitri, Ivan and Aloysha and the murder of their tyrannical father Fyodor, is considered the culmination of Dostoevskys lifes work. The Brothers Karamazov was completed in 1880, just four months before his death. This production on the Strekassen stage of the Det Kongelige Teater is directed by Kim Bjarke and designed by Rikke Juellund. Featuring Stig Hoffmeyer in the role of the father, the cast includes Mads M. Nielsen, Jens Jacob Tychsen, Thure Lindhardt and Trine Appel. Admission Dkk310-Dkk32. Performances at 20.00 on 15, 19-21, 25-28 Sept & 2-6, 8-10, 17, 19-21, 23, 24 Oct. Matinees at 15.00 on 17, 24 Sept & 1 Oct.
