Territories and Fictions: Thinking a New Way of the World

26 Oct-13 March. Exhibition focusing on the language and artistic practice that influenced art production between the end of the 1990s and 2007 in Spain and internationally.

Drawing on the Museo Reina Sofía collection, including many recent acquisitions, the presentation examines how contemporary art has been affected by globalisation, new geopolitical configurations, languages of modernity and their connections to a colonial era, historical accounts, and gentrification.

The exhibition includes work by Zoe Leonard, Allan Sekula, Leonor Antunes, Ines Doujak, Adrià Julià, Ibon Aranberri and Peter Friedl.
