Until 27 Oct 2005. Galera Oliva Arauna presents the latest work from artist Alicia Martn, who focuses on how objects belong in everyday places. Ever since her work involving a cascade of books falling from the window of the Casa de Amrica, the Madrilea artist Alicia Martn has struck a cord with a wide audience. Members of the public flock to the installation trying to decipher what kind of literary message she is seeking to convey. And that message is to look again at the objects which surround us, and playfully redefine them. This, says Martn, is a defining passion for many contemporary artists.
