23 March - 24 June. The Martin-Gropius-Bau presents a modern art exhibition dedicated to the different ways artists perceive and react to news.
Since the 19th century newspapers have provided artists with topical subject matter. Depending on their beliefs and motivations, the artists' response to the factual is guaranteed to be personal.
The exhibition features works by over 50 international artists including Andy Warhol, Ai Weiwei, Farhad Moshiri, Robert Rauschenberg, Joseph Beuys, Sigmar Polke, Gerhard Richter, Anselm Kiefer, Julian Schnabel, William Kentridge, Richard Prince, Annette Messager and Rirkrit Tiravanija.
