20 April-11 Sept 2006. The Museum of Catalan History (Museo de Historia de Cataluna) presents an exhibition of Republican posters entitled Repblica! Cartells i cartellistes (1931-1939) documenting the period leading up to and including the Spanish Civil War. Political posters were one of the most efficient forms of propaganda at the time, and this exhibition displays over 130 original posters in chronological order. The museum is holding two exhibitions of photographs, Imatges indites de la Guerra Civil and Catalunya en guerra i en postguerra, in tandem with the poster exhibition. All three shows run until 11 September. Admission 2.40. Tues-Sat 10.00-19.00, Weds 10.00-20.00, Sun and public holidays 10.00-14.30.
