26 Aug-17 Sept 2006. Artists from Surinam, China, Russia, Indonesia and the Netherlands are featured in this first edition of the Euro Art Festival held in indoor and outdoor locations inside Amsterdams Amstelpark. Divided into two main themed exhibitions, Women and Art and Monkey Stories, the festival explores the relationship between people, nature and art. Sculpture, painting and installations by international artists such as Zhanhong Liao, Svetlana Tiourina, Burd Elcaya and Bingi John Bottse are on display alongside work by Dutch artists including Petra Groen, Nancy Echter, Ellen Welten-Louwers and Lucienne Kleverlaan. The exhibition "Monkey Stories" will travel to Almere (Oct. 2006) and Lelystad (Nov 2006). Admission 6, 12-4 year-olds 4.50, under 4s free. Daily 10.00-17.00.
