22 Oct-10 Jan. Exhibition based on sound and archive materials compiled by Nigerian sound artist Emeka Ogboh for his installation in the Peace and Security building at the African Union (AU) headquarters in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.

Ogboh, who works primarily with digital audio media, won a competition to create an artwork for the Peace and Security building whose construction is being financed by the German Foreign Office.

His winning installation features a collection of historic speeches broadcast by the Ethiopian radio network during the founding ceremony of the Organisation of African Unity in 1963, mixed with newly arranged compositions and his own sound recordings.

The Organisation of African Unity was disbanded in 2002 and replaced by the AU.
