17 Oct-17 Jan. Exhibition examining the excitement that greeted the arrival of exotic Asian treasures shipped to Holland in the 17th century.
On display are 170 items of lacquer work, ebony, silver, silk, jewellery and porcelain, from China, Japan, India and the Dutch East Indies.
The artefacts from the then far-flung lands caused a sensation in Holland and were used to decorate the houses of wealthy Dutch families.
