25 Oct-25 Nov 2006. Winner of the Tony award for Best New Play, John Patrick Shanleys Doubt comes to The Abbey Theatre in a production starring Brd Brennan, Gemma Reeves and Aidan Kelly. Set in a Catholic school in the New York Bronx in 1964, the play explores the nature of faith as a popular young priest is accused of improper behaviour with a student. Armed with nothing but her suspicions and a few bits of circumstantial evidence, a senior nun begins a crusade to remove Father Flynn, enlisting the help of a younger nun and the childs hapless mother. Described as a gripping mystery by Time Out New York, Doubt is the largest grossing play in the history of Broadway. Admission 30, 25, 20, 15. Previews 15. 12 concession available Mon-Thurs. Matinees 15, concessions 12. Mon-Sat at 20.00. Sat matinee 14.30. Previews 21, 23, 24 Oct.
