The visually stunning work of American artist Dorothy Iannone is the subject of a retrospective at Berlin's Museum of Modern Art.

Born in 1933, Iannone is known for her brighly-coloured paintings depicting themes of free love, erotica and autonomous female sexuality.

The uncompromising and often explicit nature of her paintings has repeatedly attracted criticism and censorship from some quarters but she is also regarded by many as an artistic pioneer of women’s sexual and intellectual emancipation.

The exhibition includes works from throughout her 50-year career, including paintings and visual narrative, autobiographical texts and films.

Wed-Mon 10.00-18.00. Tues closed.
