15 June-13 August 2005. Few pop stars have been as successful at marrying image with sound as the chameleon of pop, David Bowie. This photographic exhibition at Redferns Music Picture Gallery looks at Bowies amazing career covering his changing characters, personas, costumes and styles; from Ziggy Stardust to Aladdin Sane, the Thin White Duke to Plastic Soul of the 1980s. There are photographs taken by an array of professional photographers and friends and associates of Bowies from over the years. Some early images taken by Bowies manager in the Sixties, Kenneth Pitt are largely unseen while the work of such well known names in rock as Terry ONeil, Mick Rock, Ian Dickson, and Ray Stevenson are on show as well.
