The latest issue of the Which? Good Food Guide 2007 has included 11 Oxford restaurants among the top-rating eateries in Britain. The restaurants in question - Al-Shami, Branca, Brasserie Blanc, Cherwell Boathouse, Chiang Mai Kitchen, Edamame, Fishers, Gees, The Lemon Tree, Liaison and Sojo Restaurant - have also contributed to bringing Oxford up to equal sixth position in an all-UK league table of gourmet cities. London is top, with 333 restaurants recommended in the guide, followed by Manchester (26), Edinburgh (22), Leeds (14) and Glasgow (13). Oxford shares sixth place with Birmingham and Brighton. The Which? Good Food Guide is Britains longest-running and most prestigious restaurant guide.
