Brussels organises a week to mark the international women’s day on 8 March.
The events include debates, workshops and film showings, as well as the films Frozen River about two women who smuggle immigrants from Canada into the USA over the frozen St Lawrence river in order to make ends meet (Cinema Galeries) and Le Sac du Farine about the identity of women in contemporary Arab society (Maison de quartier Buanderie, Rue de la Buanderie 1).
