For the next 5 months on intercity trains running between Haarlem and Maastricht, Dutch railways are testing public reaction to television screens and wireless internet facilities on board. The television screens will have news, sports and train travel information, initially to be broadcast without sound. A sound track is planned for later when it becomes clear how to include it without annoying passengers. Dutch Railways hope to provide up-to-the-minute information and entertainment with the new facilities. The intercity trains involved stop at Amsterdam, Utrecht, Hertogenbosch, Eindhoven, Roermond, and Sittard.
