Standard & Poors, the credit rating agency better known for giving countries and multi-nationals credit ratings for their bond issues, has come out heavily on the side of the city of Paris, giving it its top rating of "AAA". The agency has said that Paris is one of the least indebted cities in the world and praised the "richness of its economic fabric" as well as the "quality of its management". The agency also complimented the city for its ability to finance itself without resorting to tax increases.
