Theres now a new way to see the sights of Madrid. Tourists visiting Spains capital city would be well advised to think about the advantages of buying a Madridcard.

This card, which can be bought online, by phone or in Madrid itself at travel agencies, tourist offices etc., entitles the bearer to free admission to 43 of the citys main museums, unlimited travel on the Madrid Vision tourist coaches, discount at various restaurants and shops, and includes entrance to the Madrid Imax, the Amusement Park, the Zoo and travel on the Cable Railway among other things.

With a choice of a 24, 48 or 72-hour time limit, costing respectively 25, 35 and 45, the card would be a boon to tourists on short stays, whereas it could provide an incentive to get out and see things for travellers with more time on their hands.

The Madrid card comes with a guide listing all the establishments associated with the project as well as information on museums and a city map, and even has its own website: www.madridcard.com/es/
