Traditional arts and crafts, hand-painted eggs and culinary delights like Osterpinze baked specially for Easter are on offer at the Easter markets held around the Austrian capital. Stalls at the historic Kalvarienbergmarkt, the Viennese Lenten market at 17 Kalvarienberggasse, are open daily from 13 March-9 April (10.00-18.00). The Kalvarienbergmarkt also offers numerous activities for children, including the traditional Bamkraxler tree-climbing event.
