Thomas Bayrle: If It’s Too Long—Make It Longer

25 Oct-2 April. This installation by German artist Thomas Bayrle combines traditional craft techniques with computer-generated art.

Born in Berlin in 1937, Bayrle is known for his so-called superforms, mixed-media works referencing icons from Jesus Christ to Chairman Mao, in addition to his consumerist nod to the smartphone or highway.

Highlights of the show include the tapestry iPhone Pietà and stage set iPhone meets Japan, both featuring - you guessed it - iPhones.

Wed-Sat 10.00-18.00. Tues 10.00-11.45. Sun 10.00-18.00.
