15 May-3 June 2006. The Royal Ballet presents a new production of Tchaikovskys version of the classic fairy tale The Sleeping Beauty at the Covent Garden Opera House to celebrate its 75th anniversary. The part of Aurora is shared by Alina Cojocaru, Tamara Rojo, Roberta Marquez, Sarah Lamb and Marianela Nuez. Choreography is by Marius Petipa with additional work by Ninette de Valois, Frederick Ashton and Christopher Wheeldon. Designed by Oliver Messel and Peter Farmer with musical direction by Valeriy Ovsyanikov. The Sleeping Beauty runs for three hours. Admission 65-4.
