9 October - 24 April 2011. Etruscans originated in the Italian area of Tuscany, or Etruria as it was known in Roman times. It is not known when the civilisation began, other than that it was prior to the founding of Rome.

Through a multimedia experience this exhibition offers the chance to discover the Etruscan people, their language and their prolific contribution to the arts.

Equipped with 3D glasses, visitors can step back into the Etruscan era with virtual visits to the necropolises of Banditaccia and Cerveteri. On display also is a large selection of original Etruscan artefacts.
