Syria Antiqua: Coins and Monuments on the Museuminsel

16 June-5 Nov. The Bode Museum presents an exhibition of coins from ancient Syria, which was a key cultural, religious and commercial hub of the ancient world due to its geographical location.

This intercultural convergence is illustrated in the coins minted in ancient Syrian cities such as Laodicea, Palmyra, Damascus, Antioch and Emesa.

The exhibition also displays coins from mints that were located within the area of modern-day Syria.
