21 Mar 2008-11 Jan 2009. The Hermesvilla displays this exhibition of stone masonary, the architectural remains of old Vienna, which testify the enormous changes that the city has gone through in the past 400 years. Elegant bourgeois and noble palaces, monasteries, hospitals and charity institutions, which once animated the old city, were at some point demolished and forgotten. Coat of arms, boards, statues and inscriptions remained as traces, which survived the demolitions and immortalized the presence of the people, who used to live in these buildings.
