Transmediale 06 is now in its 19th year, bringing together media artists, critics and experts from all over the world for 5 days of conferences, screenings, performances and workshops from 3-7 Feb. this year the focus is on humour as a means of social critique, with Reality Addicts seeking to subvert the superficiality of a media-sanitized world. The exhibition includes works by Nam June Paik, The Thinker and Les Levine, I Am An Artist, both tongue-in-cheek interpretations of the artists self-concept.
