10-18 September 2005. From old time to the latest in experimental jazz the Potsdam Jazz Festival is the place for aficionados of syncopated patterns. This years festival features a diverse range of performers including Gonzales, the Frank Popp Ensemble, Finlands Jimi Tenor and finest Vocal Jazz performer Esther Kaiser. The five festival venues, located in Potsdam and nearby Berlin, are a mixture of the bizarre and the bohemian; the Waschhaus is an old military laundry, the Franzsische Kirche (French church) speaks for itself, and the recently reopened Nikolaisaal. Admission costs up to 35 (free entry to some concerts)
