Until 28 August 2005. The New 2 exhibition features the most recently acquired contemporary art at the sterreichische Galerie Belvedere, worth a visit just for its stunning baroque architecture and exquisite formal gardens. Its new artworks entered the collection as gifts or permanent loans or were acquired over the past three years with help from the federal gallery support fund. Contributions by international artists from the Augarten Residency, the artist-in-residence programme of the Atelier Augarten, are also a key feature of the collection, and their works of art are exhibited here for the first time. These include works by Markus Schinwald, Gnter Brus, Jonathan Monk, Franz Kapfer, Jakob Kolding, Gelatin, Lisl Ponger, Florian Pumhsl, Mathias Poledna, Ann-Sofi Siden, Esther Stocker, Franz West and Erwin Wurm.
