26 November - 25 April 2011. The exhibition "ctrl" at the Reina Sofia museum sees acclaimed Polish sculptor Miroslaw Balka examining symbols of power structures and ideologies.

Balka inverts and contradicts these symbols, radically changing their meaning and ultimately questioning their relevance in the modern era.

Balka has been producing cutting-edge video performances for the last ten years and his practice has been described as 'extending a sculptural language that is rich in associations with history and his native Poland'.
