If you still need convincing then dont miss the 9th Berlin Beer Festival as it transforms the historical Karl-Marx-Allee into the worlds longest beer garden covering an area of 2 km. Whether a local beer from eastern Germany or the more exotic variety from as far away as Laos, the beer mile offers 1,750 specialities of beer from over 240 breweries across Germany and the world. This seventh heaven for beer lovers attracts more than half a million visitors every year and has grown into the capitals greatest attraction during the first weekend in August. In search of the ultimate beer, live music from pop to country on 15 stages with national and international food specialities provide entertainment and culinary treats. Admission is free.
