May-Sept 2009. The British Museum is having a wonderful Indian Summer. A number of exhibitions and events, themed on the Indian subcontinent, are running from May to September 2009. This includes Garden and Cosmos: The Royal Paintings of Jodhpur, from 28 May to 23 August. On display are 56 paintings from the collection of the Mehrangarh Museum Trust, Jodhpur, none of which have been seen before in Europe. They include paintings from the 17th to19th centuries that range in size from miniatures to huge affairs that tell epic Indian narratives. Entry fee is
