26 Nov-26 March. The Hennessy Portrait Prize, an annual competition now in its third year, is designed to stimulate interest in contemporary portraiture as well as raise the profile of the National Portrait Collection.
The National Gallery shows the competition's 14 shortlisted entries alongside the winning portrait, Seán by Gerry Davis.
Originally from Co. Tipperary, Davis was born in 1985 and graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) in 2009.
