6 April-5 Aug 2006. Dame Judi Dench stars in the Theatre Royal Haymarkets revival of Noel Cowards comedy of social embarrassments, Hay Fever. The seven-time Laurence Olivier Award winner plays a self-centred actress, Judith Bliss, who has retired from the stage but is nonetheless planning her comeback. The story revolves around the unconventional Bliss family, whose weekend houseguests find themselves hopelessly out of their depth when faced with their hosts egocentric behaviour. Peter Bowles co-stars as Denchs novelist husband with Dan Stevens and Kim Medcalf as their two children. Directed by Peter Hall. Admission 63.50-20. Tues-Sat 19.45, matines Thurs and Sat 15.00.
