11 - 26 September 2010. Over the course of 16 days and 16 nights, Dublin's Fringe Fest presents 65 productions and more than 300 performances. Held annually in September, the avant-garde festival offers the best in cutting edge theatre, dance, visual art and music in venues throughout Dublin city. This year the festival has a back-to-basics DIY theme, with productions designed to confront the financial challenges faced by many, and with the aim of regenerating a depressed city. Some of the participating acts include contortionists, hoola hoopers, robots and lions; in terms of quirky venues - look out for a barge and a tent of mirrors.
