Fleeting Beauty

19 Nov-29 Feb. The artwork from Austrian cigarette advertising in the 1920s is the subject of this exhibition at the Leopold Museum.

In 1928 the JTI tobacco company invited celebrated Secession artists to create designs for its cigarette packaging and advertising campaigns. The artists included Josef ­Dobrowsky, Anton Faistauer, Alfred Gerstenbrand, Albert Paris Güthersloh, Oskar Laske, Ludwig Heinrich Jungnickl and Franz von Zülow.

The works on display are from the JTI Collection Vienna which comprises some 10,000 tobacco-related ­archive images and objects.
