21 Dec 2005-14 May 2006. The wonders of ancient Egypt are on show at the Centro de Exposiciones Arte Canal in a two-part exhibition including 120 pieces on loan from the Cairo Museum. The first section features a 3D film made by British Museum experts allowing visitors to make a virtual voyage inside a 2,800 year-old mummy, the priest Nesperennub. Seven rooms house the second part of the exhibition, focussing on the pharaohs and their history (A1), the images of the king (A2), the pharaoh as intermediary between gods and man (A3), the pharaoh as guardian of the world (A4), the pharaohs property in Egypt (A5), the pharaohs palace (A6) and the death of the pharaoh (A7). Admission: combined film and exhibition 6, concessions 4, under 6s free. Film or exhibition only 3, concessions 2. Tues-Sun 10.00-21.00, Thurs 10.00-24.00, Mon 10.00-18.00.
