2-19 Aug 2005. Directed by Gary Hynes, this ground-breaking tribute to the life and work of one of Irelands greatest playwrights, John Millington Synge, can be enjoyed over one, two or three days or as a very special experience, the Druid Cycle, when all six plays will be performed on the same day. Inspired by Yeats while living in Paris, Synge focused his writing on country life in Ireland, making full use of colourful local characters, mock-heroes and ancient folklore. Starring Mick Lally, Marie Mullen, Eamon Morrisey, Catherine Walsh, Aaron Monaghan and Gemma Reeves.
Admission: Mon-Wed 22.50; Thurs-Fri 27.50; Synge Cycle (all six plays) 49.
